About Clarissa
Clarissa Walter, OTR/L, was born and raised in southern California where she earned her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Stanbridge University located in Irvine, California in 2019.
With over 10 plus years of combined education and experience working with children of varied ages and abilities. She has clinical experience in schools, private practice, early intervention behavior therapy, in-patient hospital, and out-patient pediatric clinics. Her passion for occupational therapy is rooted in a belief that all people of all ages are worthy of living whole and meaningful lives.
Clarissa has completed a 200-hr traditional Hatha yoga training program with Akasha Yoga Academy in Bali, Indonesia. She strongly believes in the power of movement and breath work as a therapeutic tool with children and adults of all abilities and ages. With experience facilitating DIRFloortime, Astronaut Training, SOS feeding, iLs - Integrated Learning Systems, and Sensory Integration Therapy techniques Clarissa is excited to continue her growth and development as a clinician at Solaris.
Her favorite occupations include spending time with her son and husband outdoors exploring parks-nature trails, yoga, cooking, baking bread, watching Formula 1 racing and traveling as often as possible.
